Governor of Khartoum Declares State of Emergency in the Sudanese Capital

The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Othman Hamza, announced today, Thursday, an emergency order No. (2) for the year 2024, establishing a security cell in the state of Khartoum. This action is based on the state of emergency and the decision of the committee managing state security affairs. It was decided that the security cell will operate under the supervision of the higher committee for security and operational coordination and will submit periodic reports to it. The Governor of Khartoum announced the state of emergency following approval from the Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereign Council.
