A circulating video in Iraq shows an armed confrontation between Babil police and an armed individual who attempted to kidnap a university student after stopping a vehicle carrying a group of female students. A security source informed the "Al-Sumaria" channel on Saturday that a person attempting to kidnap university students in Babil province was killed.
The source explained that "an individual driving a Tahoe vehicle attempted to abduct students in front of Babil University." The police in Babil engaged with the armed individual who had attempted to kidnap a university student after stopping a vehicle that was carrying a group of students. The confrontation resulted in the death of the armed assailant and injuries to six others, including three students.
Additionally, the source noted that "security forces engaged with the kidnapper on the road leading to Najaf, which resulted in his death," adding that "the assailant had a history of legal issues." During the chase and gunfire, a vehicle of the type "Coaster" carrying a funeral coming from Baghdad was involved, and as a result of the stray bullets, one person in the funeral vehicle was killed, while others were injured.
