Tensions in Southern Lebanon: Party Targets Meron Settlement

Israeli warplanes conducted strikes last night on the outskirts of the towns of Tayr Harfa and Dhahiya, causing significant damage to properties, crops, and homes. They also targeted civilian homes in the town of Maroun al-Ras. Around 2 AM on Sunday, the Israeli army opened heavy fire towards the town of Aita al-Shaab from its position in Barkat Risha. Israeli reconnaissance aircraft are flying over the western and central sectors, reaching the outskirts of the Litani River, above the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line. In response, the "Islamic Resistance" announced in a statement that its members "bombed the Meron settlement and the surrounding settlements with dozens of Katyusha rockets."
