"Byblos Electric Contracting Company Uncovers Electricity Theft"

The "Byblos Electric Contracting Company," part of the "Jbeil Electric Authority," announced today, Thursday, that it "has uncovered numerous cases of electricity theft in the municipalities under its jurisdiction between January 15, 2024, and February 26, 2024." In a statement, it remarked, "Stealing electricity is akin to stealing money, and this is a crime that should be punished." The company urged "all honest citizens to report any suspicion of theft attempts." It also published the names of those involved in electricity theft, asserting that "someone who steals electricity can steal anything." It concluded with, "We have had enough of violations and thefts; we have had enough of indifference."
