U.S. Ambassador: Lebanon Will Follow the Path to Recovery

U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea congratulated the Lebanese people on the achievement of the "maritime demarcation with Israel as well as everyone who played a constructive role in the negotiations." She affirmed that "this agreement will enhance foreign investment in Lebanon, which is essential given the dire situation in the country." In her speech from the U.S. Embassy, she pointed out that "Lebanon can rely on the development in the energy and natural resources sectors, which will be open for import and export, and it is important for everyone to commit to their obligations." She added, "Gas fields will secure energy resources for markets, and it is crucial now for the parties to uphold their commitments under this agreement."
