The British maritime security company "Ambrey" reported on Monday that a Maltese-flagged container ship was targeted by missiles while on its way from Djibouti to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The company's estimates suggest that the ship was attacked due to the commercial ties of its operating entity with Israel. The British Marine Trade Operations Agency announced on the same day that it received a report about an incident occurring 54 nautical miles northwest of the Yemeni coast near Al-Mokha. The agency stated that authorities are investigating the incident and advised passing vessels in the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity. The Yemeni Houthi group has been targeting ships in the Red Sea, claiming they are owned or operated by Israeli companies, or that they transport goods to or from Israel, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli attack.
