Iraq: Death of a Terrorist and Arrest of Two

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced today, Tuesday, that the Federal Police managed to kill one terrorist and arrest two others, along with seizing 4 explosive belts and 3 tunnels in a security operation in the city of Samarra. The spokesman for the ministry and the security media cell, Muqdad Miri, stated that "continuing in proactive operations to dry up the sources of terrorism, and based on accurate intelligence information and exceptional field efforts, the Federal Police forces, supported by intelligence detachments and drones, were able to besiege a terrorist group consisting of 3 elements in the (Suhayliya) area in Samarra." He added that "the security operation resulted in the killing of one member of this group and the arrest of two others, as well as the seizure of 4 explosive belts and the discovery of 3 tunnels used by terrorist gangs," noting that "our brave security forces have been, and continue to be, a symbol of courage."
