Israeli Army: Preparing for an Attack on the Northern Front

Israeli Chief of Staff Herzl Halevi announced during a visit to the northern front while speaking with reserve soldiers: "We are preparing for an attack on the northern front," without providing further details. According to the Broadcasting Authority, Israel is ready to discuss land border adjustments as part of an agreement to prevent war with Lebanon. Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz told his French counterpart Stéphane Séjourné that if Hezbollah does not withdraw, Israel "will be close to a comprehensive war with them." He added, "Israel will fight the party throughout Lebanon, and will occupy large areas in southern Lebanon, which will remain under military control as a security zone." On the Gaza front, the Israeli Chief of Staff confirmed that "the offensive operation in Rafah will continue with strength."
