Today, a new round will be held between MPs Ali Fayyad and Alan Aoun to continue discussions on expanded administrative and financial decentralization according to the project of former Minister Ziad Baroud, which is being discussed within the parliamentary subcommittee. MP Alan Aoun confirmed that "the discussion is still in its early stages, and there are serious intentions to reach an agreement, but the course of the discussion is governed by details and matters that need to be clarified gradually to see if there is a possibility of agreeing on them." He pointed out, in an interview with "Al-Jumhuriya," that "the goal is for the discussion to be based on speed, not haste, without dilution or procrastination." Regarding whether a deadline has been set to reach an agreement, he stated: "There is no deadline, but time is not open." Aoun explained that "the discussion with the party does not proceed as it does within the committees, item by item, but rather in a general manner concerning the law and its general premises down to its details, meaning from the top down." Concerning the second dialogue item related to the credit fund, he indicated that "once it is ready, a working team will be formed to discuss it."
