Drones Target Moscow and Hit Skyscraper

The Russian military and officials in the Russian capital, Moscow, confirmed that Russian anti-aircraft units shot down several drones that targeted the capital in the early hours of Tuesday morning. However, one of the drones evaded defenses and struck again at a skyscraper that had been targeted earlier in the week.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated in a message on Telegram that its forces "thwarted a terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime" and shot down two drones in the suburbs west of the city center. The ministry, referring to a commercial center in the capital, reported, "Another drone was hit by electronic devices, and when it went out of control, it crashed in the area of non-residential buildings in Moscow City."

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that one of the drones that targeted the capital hit the same tower in the Moscow City complex, which had previously been damaged earlier in the week. Sobyanin wrote on Telegram, "One of these drones reached the same tower in the Moscow City complex that had been hit previously. The façade on the twenty-first floor was damaged, and glass shattered over an area of more than 150 square meters." He added that there were no reports of injuries.
