Rescue workers in Giza, Egypt, successfully saved 4 individuals in an incident involving a boat carrying several workers that sank in the Nile River in the village of Nakla, Manshiat al-Qanater. The operations room received reports from locals about the sinking boat, prompting the police to respond and enlist the help of river rescue teams. It was found that while several workers were aboard a small boat crossing the Nile, the vessel sank. Upon arrival at the scene, the rescue teams managed to save 4 people, and efforts are ongoing to find others who are missing.
An earlier security source disclosed an initial assessment of the drowning incident, stating that two bodies had so far been recovered from the water despite the challenges posed by the fast current during search and recovery operations. The village of Nakla, which falls under the jurisdiction of Manshiat al-Qanater police, witnessed the sinking of a boat loaded with workers from a contracting company. A responsible security source provided additional details about the incident, indicating that a small fishing boat acting as a ferry, which was carrying 13 workers, experienced a sudden malfunction and sank in the Nile in the area of Azzabet Rabi in the village of Nakla.
