Unstable weather is affecting Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean until Saturday night, as the region gradually experiences a weather system accompanied by cold air masses. Its impact will intensify starting Sunday morning, bringing heavy rain, snow, and thunderstorms, continuing over the following days. The Meteorological Department indicated that the average temperatures for April in Beirut range from 15 to 24 degrees, in Tripoli from 13 to 23 degrees, and in Zahle from 9 to 22 degrees.
Expected weather in Lebanon:
- **Saturday:** Partly cloudy with fog in the elevations, further temperature drop in mountainous and inland areas with little change on the coast. It will turn cloudy and rainy in the evening, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds.
- **Sunday:** Partly to mostly cloudy with a slight increase in temperatures on the coast while continuing to drop in the mountains and inland. Scattered rainfall with lightning, thunder, and active winds before noon, with wide breaks starting in the afternoon.
- **Monday:** Generally cloudy with fog in the elevations and a decrease in temperatures. Heavy rains may occur at times, leading to flooding in some areas, accompanied by lightning and thunder. Winds may strengthen, reaching speeds of up to 70 km/h, with scattered hail expected and snowfall starting from an altitude of 2000 meters and above.
