The president of Croatia's Dinamo Zagreb, Vlatka Peras, revealed her strong desire to bring Luka Modrić back to the club before his retirement. Modrić was close to leaving Real Madrid during the last summer transfer window, as Saudi club Al Ahli attempted to recruit him to the Roshan League, but the veteran star decided to stay for an additional season.
Vlatka stated in an interview with Croatian website "Index.hr": "He is now in the final year of his contract, of course, I will call him in the winter about a potential deal. How could our club not want Luka Modrić to return?" She added, "I can't say that I am in regular contact with him, but I know some members of his family. It would make sense for him to return to Dinamo Zagreb before the end of his career; we will do everything we can to bring him here."
It is worth noting that the 38-year-old Modrić left Dinamo in 2008 to join Tottenham, before moving to Real Madrid in 2012 for 35 million euros, becoming one of the club's most legendary figures throughout its history.
