Title: Russia Launches

The "Russian Space Corporation" (Roscosmos) has announced plans to launch a new satellite from the "Resurs-P" series for Earth observation. According to a statement from the agency, the fourth satellite in the Resurs-P series is expected to be launched on a Russian Soyuz-2.1b rocket before the end of March. Last autumn, Mikhail Khailov, Deputy General Director of Space Complexes and Systems at the organization, indicated that the "fourth satellite of the Resurs-P series is supposed to be launched in early 2024." Meanwhile, some Russian media outlets mentioned that "satellites four and five of this series will be launched from the Baikonur space station in Kazakhstan." Russia is developing the Resurs-P satellites for civilian Earth observation purposes, and they are relied upon to monitor forests, protected ecological areas, and regions for mineral and oil extraction, as well as natural resources. These satellites are characterized by technologies that allow them to monitor the Earth with high accuracy, and they possess imaging capabilities that enable the creation of three-dimensional images and maps of the Earth.
