British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak noted that "the United Kingdom will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine at least at current levels until the end of the decade." Sunak wrote in a column for the Wall Street Journal: "We are committed to supporting Ukraine at the same current level at least until the end of the decade." Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron previously discussed increasing supplies of ammunition, drones, and air defense systems to Ukraine. On the other hand, Russia has intensified its strikes on the Ukrainian railway network with the aim of "crippling" military supplies, including Western aid, in preparation for a new offensive. The railway network is critically important in Ukraine as it is also used for commercial and military purposes, especially since civilian air traffic has been suspended since the start of the military operation in February 2022.
