Trump Comments on Columbia Events

Former U.S. President Donald Trump praised the American police for clearing Columbia University of pro-Palestinian protesters, directing harsh criticism at the university's president, Nemat Shafiq. Trump stated that "watching New York police officers clear Columbia University of protesters supportive of Palestinians is a beautiful sight worth witnessing." He mentioned during a rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin, that "the police arrived, and within exactly two hours, it was all over; it was something beautiful to watch, the best in New York." Trump added, "I saw them going up the stairs, breaking windows and entering, and this is dangerous... they were unbelievable." He also expressed his belief that Columbia University's reputation has been "severely damaged," criticizing President Nemat "Minouche" Shafiq for being "very late, weak, and very bad."
