The Florida-based company Space Perspective has unveiled the final version of the world's largest capsule designed for space travel, which will transport 8 people on a luxurious trip at a cost of $125,000 per seat. The designers of the spherical capsule "Neptune - Excelsior" noted that it will be suspended by a giant balloon that will ascend high (about 20 miles above the surface) until it reaches the required final boundary, where it will remain for two hours.
The capsule is twice the size of Virgin Galactic's Two spaceplane and Blue Origin's New Shepard, and about four times the size of SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule. Space Perspective is now planning test flights, with the potential for the first human test later this year.
