Shoigu Reveals Total Ukrainian Losses in Territory and Personnel

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu revealed today the territorial losses Ukraine has suffered since the beginning of the year, as well as losses in Ukrainian forces since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. During a meeting of the Russian military administration, Shoigu stated: "Since the beginning of the year, approximately 327 square kilometers of territory in the new Russian regions have been liberated from the Nazis across all fronts," adding that last week "Ukrainian armed forces were expelled from the towns of Babinda and Stoshkino, as well as Severny in the Donetsk People's Republic."

The Russian defense minister continued, stating that "on average, Ukrainian forces have lost more than 800 soldiers and 120 pieces of various weapons each day since the beginning of the year." Shoigu clarified that "Ukrainian forces have lost over 444,000 soldiers during the entire special operation." He confirmed that "after the liberation of Avdiivka, Russian forces continue to strengthen their positions on the Donetsk and Kupiansk axes and to control new positions of Ukrainian forces."
