Iraq: Fire Extinguished in Commercial Warehouses North of Baghdad

The Civil Defense Directorate announced today, Wednesday, that a fire that broke out in commercial warehouses was extinguished, and nearby warehouses were saved, north of Baghdad. The directorate stated in a statement that "civil defense teams extinguished a fire incident that erupted inside three warehouses made of block and covered with 'Jinko' panels, used for storing food and clothing in the Taji area north of Baghdad."

It clarified that "the civil defense teams mobilized, surrounded the flames, and isolated the burning warehouses from the others nearby. They successfully entered the midst of those burning warehouses to completely control the fire without any recorded human injuries while limiting the material damages."

It added that "subsequently, the civil defense requested to open an investigation at the police station responsible for the geographical area and summoned a forensic expert to determine the causes of the fire's initial outbreak."
