Mawlawi: We Strive to Keep Lebanon Away from Any War

Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi in the caretaker government noted that "due to the absence of some ministers in the emergency session, President Mikati opted for a consultative session, and we must unify the Lebanese stance amid the recent events." He added in an interview with "Al-Jadeed" that "we are striving by all means to keep Lebanon away from any war, and we always call for the implementation of Resolution 1701." He considered that "we need to continue the investigations to determine whether the murder of Pascal Sleiman has a security or political dimension, as justice protects Lebanon."
