Libyan-Egyptian star Hamid Al-Shaeri announced the death of 800 people from his tribe due to the devastating "Daniel" hurricane that hit Libya, causing tremendous human losses in the city of Derna. The artist mentioned in a post on his personal Facebook account, "This large number of victims who belong to my tribe lost their lives because of the hurricane that claimed the lives of thousands in recent days." He said, "Indeed, we are from Allah and to Him we return. We offer our condolences to ourselves, the people of Derna, and the Al-Shaeri tribe for the death of more than 800 members from the tribe in Derna. We count them as martyrs before God." Many of the star's fans interacted with his post, expressing their heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy for this great loss, praying for mercy and forgiveness for the victims. Hamid Al-Shaeri, born in 1961, is a singer and composer born to a Libyan father and an Egyptian mother, holding both Egyptian and Libyan nationalities. He began his artistic journey playing the organ in the Libyan radio band during the 1970s and was accustomed to holding concerts in Benghazi. He participated in the establishment of a musical group named "Sons of Africa."
