The Egyptian actor Kareem Abdel Aziz disclosed details about his new film "Shoghl Cairo," which will feature Lebanese artist Nancy Ajram in her first acting experience, emphasizing that "Nancy will be a significant addition to cinema." Kareem stated in media interviews, "I will be making a film with Nancy Ajram. I was presenting my story in Saudi Arabia, and Abu Nasser, our dear friend, suggested, 'What do you think about making a film?' I hope to work with Nancy Ajram." He added, "It is a light romantic comedy... It revolves around a character who tries to con her, and as she turns the tables, they both fall into a story. Nancy's entry into cinema enhances the film industry, and it's exciting that such a star is entering acting. I'm thrilled... I hope everything goes well."
Kareem Abdel Aziz also shared behind-the-scenes moments of the screening of the film "Awlad El-Am" (Sons of the Neighborhood), which he presented alongside Mona Zaki and Sherif Mounir in 2009, in New York City. He recounted, "We screened the film 'Awlad El-Am' for the Arab community in New York, and I traveled with the producer and Sherif Mounir. There was a frenzy in New York, and we were surprised that the Mayor of New York formed a committee to watch the film." He continued, "The film was pulled from cinemas, and there were strange conflicts, since there is a strong Jewish presence there; what ignited things was Sherif Mounir's controversial involvement at the end, which created a very challenging situation."
