Najwa Fouad:

The renowned Egyptian artist Najwa Fouad expressed difficult and harsh words about her experiences over the past few months and her struggles with illness that have confined her to bed. The famous artist appeared lying on a sickbed during an interview with the Egyptian journalist Sohair Gouda, discussing what has happened to her and her challenges with her bones and nerves.

She noted that the only people who have checked in on her are Nabiela Obaid and Sofiya Al-Omari, pointing out that other stars, including the head of the actors' union Ashraf Zaki, have not inquired about her. With a sad and angry tone, she remarked, "There’s nothing for the artist at all... it’s disgusting... one wastes their life for nothing." She also mentioned that when she sought a pension worthy of her status, they informed her she would receive 600 Egyptian pounds, to which she replied, "I give that to the doorman."

Najwa Fouad called for mercy towards veteran artists, highlighting that they used to earn very little while current stars earn millions, which should be taken into consideration. She explained that many great stars passed away without any money, citing examples like Farid Shawqi, Rushdi Abaza, and even Madiha Kamel, who received a sewing machine to support her family. She affirmed that Hind Rostom was the only one who used her intellect by marrying a doctor and building a family, recalling her last contact with Rostom just six hours before her passing.
