Announcement of the Date for the Funeral of the Iranian President

The Director General of Political and National Affairs for East Azerbaijan Province, Hassan Haqiqijan, announced today, Monday, that the funeral ceremony for Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and his companions will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, in Tabriz. Haqiqijan added that the bodies of the helicopter victims will first be taken to the forensic medicine center before being buried in Tabriz. Media sources have reported that the funeral in Tabriz may be preliminary, followed by a public funeral in Tehran, and possibly another funeral in Mashhad, Raisi's hometown.
