Army: Arrest of 7 Citizens in Tripoli, Jabal Badawi, and Shweifat

The following statement was issued by the Army Command – Directorate of Guidance: "As part of the security operations aimed at tracking down drug dealers and those disrupting public order, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested citizen (A.M.) in the Shweifat area, who is wanted for committing crimes including drug use and trafficking, arms trafficking, and firing shots. A large quantity of drugs was seized in his possession. Additionally, a unit of the army arrested 5 citizens in the city of Tripoli for previously firing shots, confiscating a quantity of hashish and illegal drugs, as well as two pistols and a quantity of ammunition. Another unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, arrested citizen (A.J.) in the Jabal Badawi area for throwing a hand grenade in front of a house in the area. The seized materials were handed over, and investigations have begun with the detainees under the supervision of the relevant judiciary."
