Two Egyptian security sources revealed to "Reuters" on Sunday that Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) are open to renewing the ceasefire and releasing detainees, "but there are still disagreements on how to implement it." The sources added: "Hamas insists on a complete ceasefire and the cessation of airstrikes in the Gaza Strip as a primary condition for agreeing to negotiations, in addition to the withdrawal of Israeli forces to certain lines on the ground in Gaza." They said: "Hamas has expressed its willingness to continue the truce for the release of hostages based on a list determined by Hamas and not imposed on them." They further stated: "Israel had to agree to a list of civilian hostages identified by Hamas, but Israel requested a timeline and a list of hostages. Israel agrees to the demand for a ceasefire in negotiations but refuses to withdraw."
