The raising of the Hezbollah flag, which is classified by the U.S. government as a terrorist organization, during a pro-Palestine protest at Princeton University has sparked outrage on social media. Miles McKnight, a former student at Princeton, shared a photo on the platform X showing protesters holding the Hezbollah flag, writing: "At Princeton, Hezbollah flags." According to the Daily Princetonian, the student-run independent newspaper, the protest organizers at the college stated they requested the removal of the flag as soon as it was recognized. It is noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his discontent with pro-Palestine protests at U.S. universities, labeling them as "anti-Semitic" and warning the United States and Western countries in general of the "serious consequences" of what he deemed "a rise in anti-Semitism."
