Jordan and Qatar Warn Against Any Attack on Rafah

Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, along with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, warned against any attack on Rafah in southern Gaza Strip, calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire. This came during a phone call received by Safadi from Sheikh Mohammed as part of joint Arab coordination regarding the developments in Gaza. The two sides emphasized the necessity for the international community to act to prevent any attack in Rafah. According to a statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussions focused on "efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the humanitarian disaster caused by the war on Gaza, as well as ways to achieve an immediate and permanent ceasefire and to ensure the sufficient and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid throughout the Gaza Strip."
