The investigating judge in Mount Lebanon, Ziad al-Dughaydi, issued an arrest warrant today, Monday, for the accused George D., known as "Doctor Food," for the crime of drug trafficking and smuggling them abroad in manufactured materials. George had been summoned to a session for questioning before Judge al-Dughaydi but failed to appear, leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant in absentia. An arrest warrant was also issued for a Syrian accused of the same crime. A shipment of biscuits stuffed with drugs, which was on its way to Turkey, had been seized, carrying the brand name associated with "Doctor Food," who mentioned in an initial investigation that the brand was counterfeit.
