Mohammed Afif, the media relations official at Hezbollah, emphasized during a dialogue meeting that the fundamental key to resolving all crises in Lebanon is electing a president for the republic. He stressed the necessity for this solution to be local, without waiting for the already troubled West. Afif called for "fairness in assigning responsibility for what is happening to the parties that are truly obstructing," referring to those forces that tie their decisions to the Americans, who, as time has proven, prioritize only their interests and those of the Zionist enemy in the region.
He stated, "Some do not possess a project for consensus, as they are prisoners of illusions of confrontation and conflict. The depth of the problem today lies in the fact that the other team seeks confrontation and conflict, planning and working to create it. Those who reject consensus should blame themselves; it is natural that others will accuse them of obstruction." He added, "Today, we are in dire need of social, political, living, economic, and financial stability, as the country cannot stabilize amidst divisions, grudges, wars of negation, and the logic of breaking and isolation."
He stressed the "necessity of standing against the cultural onslaught that threatens every household and primarily targets future generations. Therefore, a real plan must be put in place at both the individual and collective levels, as everyone is concerned about this assault, which began by targeting symbols and sanctities to reach a point of destroying families and communities that believe in particular values." The meeting concluded with an open discussion between the attendees and Afif.
