Facebook Messenger Enables High-Quality Photo Sending

Meta has announced the ability to send high-quality images through its instant messaging platform, Facebook Messenger. Users can take advantage of the new features by clicking on the HD option that appears when selecting photos before sending them. Meta had already added a similar option to its other messaging platform, WhatsApp, several months ago.

Facebook Messenger allows users to create shared albums with friends and family, adding photos and videos to them. These albums can be created in a group chat by selecting multiple photos and then clicking "Create Album," or by long-pressing a photo in the chat and selecting "Create Album." There are additional options for adding photos and videos to an existing album or renaming albums when needed. All members in group chats can view all the photos and videos in the shared albums, as well as modify them by deleting or adding content, and the albums will be accessible in the media section by clicking on the group chat name.

Meta has also added the option to add friends through the Facebook Messenger app using QR codes, either by scanning or sharing a customized link. Additionally, Meta has increased the maximum file size for sent files to 100 megabytes, such as files in PDF, PowerPoint, or compressed file formats. These features are expected to gradually become available to all users over the coming weeks.
