The General Directorate of Civil Aviation reopened Rafic Hariri International Airport at 7 AM today, Sunday, after the Lebanese airspace was exceptionally closed throughout the night due to tensions in the region following the Iranian response to Israel. Minister of Public Works in the caretaker government, Ali Hamiyeh, stated that "Beirut Airport resumes its flights, and we hope we won't have to close again."
Middle East Airlines announced in a statement that "in light of the new developments in the region, Middle East Airlines - Lebanese Air Lines, announces the postponement of all flights scheduled to depart on Sunday, April 14, 2024, to dates to be determined later, except for the following flights that will depart from Rafic Hariri International Airport - Beirut at nine in the morning:

- Paris ME211
- Frankfurt ME217
- Rome ME231
- Düsseldorf ME247
All other flights are currently postponed, and updates will be provided once the situation becomes clearer."
