Informed sources have revealed that France is playing a significant role in preventing war in Lebanon. This was conveyed by the French ambassador during a meeting with a member of parliament, stating that the mission of the French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian is no longer limited to his role in the quintet committee to elect a president for the republic, but extends to keeping Lebanon away from the repercussions of the Gaza war. It is noted that no issue can take precedence over what is happening there, which could echo in Lebanon and ignite the southern front, making it impossible for anyone to control the Israeli escalation and bombing of numerous Lebanese infrastructure, villages, and towns.
In this context, it is known that the French president discussed this matter during his regional tour, and he even urged the Israelis not to involve Lebanon in any war, even if they were to suffer strikes, as France is handling this matter through mutual friends with Iran to halt the escalation. Qatar also plays a significant role with Iran to prevent Hezbollah from making a decision for war. Everyone is naturally awaiting the word from Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, as, according to information, he will address some key issues, threatening the party's opponents that if they bomb Lebanon, he will teach them a lesson they will not forget and will strike all areas in the Israeli entity without mercy. However, he will not make a decision for war or participation in it, meaning that things are within the rules of the game while honoring the martyrs of Hezbollah who fell, and surprises could arise. In other words, all possibilities have become valid, while contacts between decision-making capitals continue to deter the Israeli enemy from launching any aggression against Lebanese territory.
