The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released a video featuring an Israeli captive held in the Gaza Strip. In the video, the captive, Hirsch Goldberg Bolein (24 years old), stated that he was born in California, USA, and currently lives with his family in Jerusalem.
In a strong message directed at the Israeli government and the Ministry of Defense, Bolein condemned what he described as the neglect of captives by Benjamin Netanyahu's government and urged them to work for his release.
He began his remarks by addressing Netanyahu, his government, and the security cabinet, saying, "Every day we are here, you ignore us more and more and ignore our blood." He then added, demanding, "Do what is expected of you and return us home immediately, or is this too much for you?"
The Israeli captive appeared desperate regarding his government’s efforts, stating, "It is time to hand over the keys and evacuate the ministries, and for you to sit in your homes." He launched a sharp attack against Netanyahu and his administration, saying: "You should be ashamed of yourselves for neglecting us along with thousands of other citizens, leaving us for 200 days," and that "the army's efforts have failed because the air force killed around 70 captives like him."
