Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly stated today, Thursday, that the killing of dozens of people who were waiting for an aid convoy in Gaza is a "nightmare" and called for an end to the fighting in the region. Joly told reporters in Ottawa, "When it comes to what happened in Gaza today... I have to say that I believe this is a nightmare. We must ensure that international aid is sent to Gaza and that people are protected when they go to receive that aid." Health authorities in Gaza reported that over 100 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces.
