Hezbollah announced the downing of an Israeli drone with a ground-to-air missile on Monday. The Israeli army confirmed that the drone fell over Lebanese territory after being hit by a missile. The Hezbollah-affiliated channel "Al-Manar" reported that "the air defense unit in the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon shot down a large Israeli drone of the type Hermes 450 with a ground-to-air missile over the region of the At-Tuffah area, which was seen falling with the naked eye."
In response, the spokesperson for the Israeli army for Arab media, Avichay Adraee, stated on his X account (formerly Twitter): "Air defense fighters intercepted a surface-to-air missile this morning using the 'David's Sling' system, aimed at a drone belonging to the air force while it was flying over Lebanese territory." Adraee added, "An alert was activated regarding the launch of rocket artillery and missiles in the Alon Tavor area following the interception missile launch." He continued, "Shortly after, another missile was fired at the airborne unit, resulting in its damage and fall within Lebanese territory."
