Oman, in a statement issued by its Foreign Ministry today, warned against the incursion of the city of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip, calling on the international community to pressure Israel to cease fire and allow aid into the region. Oman firmly condemned the Israeli forces' move towards targeting Rafah, which is sheltering hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinian civilians fleeing from northern Gaza due to this brutal aggression, resulting in nearly thirty thousand martyrs, in addition to tens of thousands of injured and missing individuals. This action presents a blatant challenge to international law and humanitarian law.
Oman also warned of the escalating and grave repercussions of the continued indiscriminate aggression on the Gaza Strip. The Omani Foreign Ministry reiterated its call for the international community to take tangible measures that reflect the statements, positions, and political stances to deter Israel from its arrogance, urging it to stop the fire and open crossings for the entry of humanitarian needs for the population and displaced individuals throughout Gaza, while holding it fully responsible for the catastrophic consequences resulting from its targeting of civilians, properties, and facilities in the region.
