United Nations relief agencies warned today, Friday, that "decreasing food and fuel supplies could lead to a halt in relief efforts within days in the Gaza Strip due to the continued closure of vital crossings, forcing hospitals to close their doors and exacerbating the malnutrition crisis." Georgios Petropoulos, head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Gaza, stated in a briefing to reporters that "the situation in Gaza has reached unprecedented emergency levels."
