Detention of 14 Individuals in Akkar and Baalbek for Various Crimes

The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance announced that "within the framework of the security measures being implemented by the military institution in various areas, intelligence department patrols supported by army units detained 14 individuals as follows: - 6 citizens in the town of Burj Al Arab – Akkar for their involvement in an altercation that occurred in the town on 21/1/2024, and military weapons, ammunition, and military equipment were seized from them. - 3 citizens and 4 Syrians in the town of Brital – Baalbek for their involvement in thefts, and stolen cars and motorcycles, along with a quantity of hashish and narcotic substances, as well as military equipment were seized from them. - The Palestinian (M.H.) for attempting to transport heavy military weapons, and anti-tank rockets were seized from him." The confiscated items were handed over, and investigations with the detainees were initiated under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
