The media office of the Lebanese Forces party stated in a release that, "As usual, the yellow newspaper 'Al-Akhbar' resorts to lies, misinformation, and fabricating facts that exist only in the imagination of its owners and writers. The most recent example of these disgraceful methods, which have nothing to do with journalism and professionalism, is Mr. Tamjid Qabisi's article about 'illegal gambling.' Accordingly, we challenge the writer and the newspaper to prove what they have fabricated out of thin air about the Lebanese Forces, which will take all legal measures against them on charges of fabrication, misinformation, and defamation."
