Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid confirmed his stance towards Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today, stating that "he must resign." Lapid wrote on his account on the "X" platform: "For the security of Israel, Netanyahu must resign, and this government must leave our lives." Earlier, Lapid said that "this government, this prime minister, has become an existential threat to Israel; they have destroyed Israeli deterrence, our enemies look at this government and smell weakness, and they raise their heads." The opposition accuses Netanyahu of mishandling the war that erupted following the Hamas attack on October 7.
