Minister of Interior in the caretaker government Bassam Mawlawi confirmed that there are no indicators of any security event but emphasized that security should be proactive. He called on security agencies to assist and be present on the ground to ensure the safety of citizens during the holidays. After a meeting of the Central Security Council, Mawlawi stated, "We discussed the measures taken for the holidays and reviewed the procedures that the security forces have started to implement." He stressed the necessity of accompanying fieldwork with intelligence efforts to preempt any incidents. Mawlawi added, "We discussed the issue of airport disturbances and tasked the airport security agency with preparing the necessary report regarding the situation and solutions, as we care about the safety of civil aviation."
