A government official announced today, Saturday, that at least 50 people have died due to a new wave of heavy rains and floods in central Afghanistan. The head of the media department in Ghor province told Reuters that "there is no information on the number of injured from the rains that began falling on Friday and also caused the closure of several main roads leading to the area."
