In response to reports in some media outlets and on social media regarding a decision by the urgent matters judge in Jdeideh-Matin, Ralph Korkabi, concerning the entry of a quantity of wheat into the Lebanese markets, the media office of the Supreme Judicial Council conveys clarifications from Judge Ralph Korkabi on this topic as follows: "To resolve the contradiction arising from the reports submitted by both parties involved in the seized wheat case presented before me, I appointed the President of the Chemists Syndicate in Lebanon, expert Dr. Jihad Aboud, to take samples of this wheat and conduct the necessary analyses at specialized laboratories, including the Environmental and Agricultural Lab at the American University of Beirut (LEAF LAB), the Industrial Research Institute, the Scientific Agricultural Research Institute - Fanar branch (Bacteria), and the Scientific Agricultural Research Institute - Tal Amara branch (Grain Improvement and Protection) and the Ras Beirut - Shouifat Lab (RBML FOOD LABS). After the test results confirmed that the wheat is safe for human consumption, I issued the decision to release the customs hold on the mentioned quantity. Therefore, any affected party by this decision has the right to pursue available legal remedies, and no one is permitted to address this decision through defaming the judge who issued it, whether on social media or through various written, visual, or audio media, under the threat of legal prosecution."
