CNN reported that protesters interrupted a speech by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a congressional hearing discussing aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. As soon as Blinken began to speak, one attendee stood up and started shouting in the hall, where he could be heard saying, "The Geneva Convention prohibits bombing densely populated areas," along with "Stop supporting genocide," before yelling, "Ceasefire now... Save the children of Gaza," among other phrases.

During this time, other attendees were seen protesting by raising their hands stained red while the man was escorted out. Shortly thereafter, another woman protested while Blinken was speaking, shouting, "The United States supports a brutal massacre," leading security guards to remove her as she continued to chant, "The world demands a ceasefire, the American people do not want to support this brutal war, stop this war, stop the fire, stop funding this brutal massacre being committed by Israel against the people of Gaza," as she expressed.
