Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir threatened to make conditions "more severe in prisons for those who wish to harm the state," thanking security forces for stopping a cell that planned to assassinate him. Ben Gvir expressed gratitude to the police, the Shin Bet, and security forces involved in the arrest of the "terror cell that planned to assassinate me," stating, "I will not hesitate; I will continue to lead the Israeli police towards a firm policy against terrorism and will never tolerate incitement." Regarding security prisoners, he said, "The camps in Israeli prisons have ended, but we will make conditions more severe for those who wish to harm the State of Israel." He emphasized, "We will also continue to demand that the Prime Minister enter Rafah and carry out a radical operation there and throughout the West Bank as well, to pursue terrorists." Earlier today, the Israeli security agency "Shin Bet" announced that it had managed to arrest a cell from the Bedouin city of Rahat that was planning to assassinate Ben Gvir using an anti-tank missile "RPG." It was noted that the cell was mostly composed of Israelis living in Rahat and Palestinians from the West Bank.
