Spain Bans Ships Carrying Weapons for Israel from Docking at Its Ports

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares announced today that the country will not allow ships carrying weapons for Israel to dock at its ports, after Spain denied a ship from docking at the port of Cartagena in the southeast of the country. Albares noted that the ship was the first to be prevented from docking at a Spanish port, indicating that the decision is in line with the government's stance of not granting licenses for arms exports to Israel since October 7, as Spain "does not want to contribute to the war."
