Teachers' Movement for Contract Workers: For the Justice of Southern Students

The "Teachers' Movement for Contract Workers" expressed its hope to Minister of Education in the caretaker government, Abbas Halabi, to provide justice for the students of the south. In a statement, they said: "In our meeting with the esteemed Minister of Education, we prioritized the students of the south, emphasizing that they have not only experienced educational loss but also psychological loss, as well as physical absence from school and the teacher's presence through online learning and absent as a messenger. We agreed with his Excellency that the percentage of goals and competencies reached by them does not exceed 60% of the competencies and goals of their peers." The movement reiterated its demand to the Minister of Education that "the official exams be among the top priorities, with the cancellation of the last section in every subject or in some subjects like philosophy, among others, to ensure justice for the students of the south and for all students in Lebanon. We hope for this as soon as possible so that our students can study and catch up on what they missed."
