Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi revealed today, Saturday, the expected cost for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which he estimated could reach $90 billion. He stated, "The world has witnessed a humanitarian tragedy in Gaza for the past five months," adding, "We stand in utmost appreciation and reverence for the Palestinian people. We are making every effort we can to protect and assist them."
President el-Sisi affirmed, "Egypt has not closed the Rafah crossing permanently," stating, "We are moving effectively and powerfully, which has made Egypt capable of being a country." He continued, "I swear to God, I have not found a country... I found anything and they told me to take this... Do you think countries are established with anything? Our capabilities are not very large, and we all suffer."
This statement came during President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's attendance at the 39th educational symposium of the armed forces in celebration of Martyr's Day, entitled "And the Impact Remains," at the Al-Manara Conference Center in New Cairo.
