Egypt Launches Large Land Convoy to Gaza Under Sisi's Orders

The Tahya Misr Fund launched a large convoy of trucks on Sunday, branded "We Share for Humanity," loaded with medical equipment and large quantities of food support for the Palestinians. The fund explained that "the convoy includes all necessary supplies to support our Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the onset of the holy month of Ramadan, in collaboration with the Egyptian Zakat and Charity House, Nasser Social Bank, Venus Electric and Lighting Company, several civil society organizations, and donors." It emphasized that this is "in implementation of the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to stand by the Palestinian people, support them, and provide assistance during these difficult circumstances until they overcome their hardships."

Tamer Abdel Fattah, the executive director of the Tahya Misr Fund, confirmed that the convoy consists of 101 trucks carrying over 1,616 tons of supplies, with the medical convoy at the forefront, loaded with essential supplies for healthcare, to meet urgent medical needs that help save lives and treat hundreds of thousands of wounded and injured due to the severe shortage of medical resources in the Gaza Strip. The medical equipment includes anesthesia machines, respirators, dialysis machines, incubators, and ventilators for premature infants (newborns), monitors for patients' vital signs, essential medications, and chronic illness treatments, all aimed at completing rescue operations and providing urgent medical care.

Abdel Fattah added that the Tahya Misr Fund's convoy also includes large quantities of basic dry food supplies such as rice, pasta, vermicelli, sugar, oil, tea, dates, and cheese, among other staples of the diet. Additionally, the convoy included mineral and carbonated water, milk, juices, as well as blankets, covers, cleaning supplies, personal care items, and clothing for men, women, and children, highlighting the urgent need to provide clothing for displaced families who have left their homes destroyed by war, and to help meet the basic needs of our brothers in the Gaza Strip.
